Read the label for care instructions. If no label is available, wash in cold water and lay flat to dry on top of dry bath towels in a good, safe, sunny place or on top of the dryer. Or, have them dry cleaned. Heat is what makes them shrink.

Use a good brand of detergent designed for delicate fabrics (Zero or Woolite are good). Then wash either by hand or on the gentle/delicate cycle of your washing machine. Lay flat to dry. There are special drying shelves available that are great for sweaters. They allow air to circulate above and below the garment.

Wash by hand in a sink, tub or basin with Woolite. Use cold water for wash and rinses. Place flat on towel and roll and step to remove excess water. DO NOT PUT IN DRYER!!!! Put sweater on dry towel, on flat surface (not floor), drying rack, until dry. Fold - do not hang - to store.

Woolite in the sink lay flat on a towel to dry. If you hang them the weight will make them strech out.
