I saw the Movie. and I think it was all made up. But some friends the Movie was based on real Events. If so, is there a website where I can read more about it? or am I right that it was nothing more than a Movie?

Nope, just a movie. It is based on "facts" insofar as there was a reported witch who lived near the area, but other than that, all fiction. Just like every other horror movie claiming to be real, like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Silence of the Lambs. They all claim a factual basis but the facts are as minimal as possible.

Yes, I think there is some element of truth in it. The Blair Witch did exist. Rustin Parr was jailed for bringing children as sacrifices for her. One child, called Lee Irwin was the supposed, "chosen one," and The Blair Witch claimed her as her daughter. But lots of crap has been added on to the basic story that is not true.

No, that was the whole hype of the movie when it was first released it was rumored to have been students doing a documentary for a class... the truth finally came out, and it seems that when it did the movie wasn't scary to people that had not seen it, that element of suspense was gone...
