2?

Odd question...

****EDIT****
Is this a trick question?

OK, I am dumb... this is impossible equation... The two fish can't eat the other two fish, that would require six fish in the tank to be possible...

Fish A eats Fish C and Fish D

Fish B eats Fish E and Fish F

If that is what you are getting at, then I get it now...

The only combination would be two of the fish eat one fish each... but technically, both can't eat two whole fish. They could share though, each eating 1/2 a fish, so both "fish ate the other two" fish would be a true statement...

Fish A eats 1/2 of Fish C and 1/2 of Fish D

Fish B eats the other half of Fish C and Fish D

Or, I am way over analyzing your question....
