yes take birth control pills and skip the week your suppose to have your period by starting a new pack. so instead of taking the week of inactive pills (usually the green or white depends on the brand though) you start a new pack. but be warned the first few times you do this you may pay for it later, by having your period or spot bleeding a week or two after it would normally be (so you would end up bleeding while on the active pills). maybe try it a month or two ahead of time to see how your body tolerates it. you could also look into a brand of birth controls known as seasonale where you only get four peiords a year. here is a link to their site:

If you are taking birth control, it may be possible to skip the "period week" and prevent your period that way. There's also other forms of birth control pills such as Sesonale that only give you your period a few times a week. However, if you are not currently on the pill, I do NOT recommend going on it right before your honeymoon, because it can seriously mess with your mood or give you migraines and cramps when you first start it, and that would be worse than your period during your honeymoon. Ask your doctor about any of these possibilities.

I'd go back to the docs and ask for the pill that will delay it again - you could always see a different doc. So far as I know there aren't any other ways to delay it, unless you were to switch from the mini pill to the 'ordinary pill' however I suspect you don't want to do that (else you wouldn't be on the mini pill in the first place!) Besides, it's your honeymoon not just any ordinary holiday! And the last time was August, so it's hardly like you're asking too soon after the last time. All the best with the wedding x

Yes. If you are on the pill, it is perfectly safe to take two packs in a row (skipping the sugar pills), so you will be taking 6 wks of the hormone containing pills, then take the sugar pills on wk 7 and this is when you will start your period. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for any special instruction. I am a nurse and the OBS/GYN have advised just this method for those of us who faced similar issues.

Birth control. Skip the placepo pills and just go straight to your next pack.
The catch is if you aren't on bc and you try this there is a chance you will get cramps while you are adjusting to it and will not want to have sex
good luck and congrats

Birth control pills if taken every day will get you to skip your period or move it to another week. Congrats on getting married.

Go and speak to your family doctor, who can prescribe a contraceptive pill that can 'delay' your period.
