Pink spotting instead of a period?

When any of you were pregnant, or first suspecting that you may be pregnant, did you have any spotting during the first month instead of an actual missed period? I am under the impression that this is fairly common. I haven't taken a test yet but my period is about 5 days late, and instead of bleeding like I normally do - which is like a stuck pig, I bleed a lot from beginning to end - I am just sort of spotting, and have been for about a day and a half. Could this mean I am pregnant?

Yes it could, try doing a home pregnancy test and go to your doctor asap. I had two friends who went through a lighter period and fewer cramps during the first month of pregnancy and one of them even had negative blood and urine samples for the first three months. So don't wait, if you think you might be pregnant, talk to your doctor!!

There is a possiblity to you might be pregnant however, just give a day if it does not come the regular way mostly you are pregnant. If you really want to know for sure take a pregnancy test.

I have 3 children and I am pregnant with my 4th and I have never experienced any spotting at all. But everybody is different and just because it did not happen too me that does not mean that it is not normal.. Good Luck!!!

Not necessarily. It could be the start of your period. Give it a couple of days more to see if you bleed more heavilly.

Sometimes women get implantation bleeding from when the egg implants into the wall of the uterus. That is generally 12-14 days past ovulation.

Spotting is normal for the beginning of a pregnancy. i would take a pregnancy test as soon as possible or possibly go to the doctor for a blood test. good luck!

Every single time I was pregnant the first month and sometimes 2 , I would get pink spotting. I would say she is pregnant.
