no mail program is set-up to send mail using internet short-cuts,so i can't use my messenger address-book???

Question

i have yahoo messenger with voice,therefore,i have an address-book,with icons for email,im,phone on computer,or mobile phone.i no longer can utilize this feature,i got a message saying,there is no mail program set-up to send mail using internet shortcuts.please give me simplified directions,i am still a beginner,self-taught.S.O.S.!!

You need to set this through "Set Program Access and Defaults". I have found this in three locations on my computer though I think I may have set one of them once upon a time.
1st: On the "Start" menu between "Control Panel" and "Printers and Faxes"
2nd: "Start" -> "All Programs" toward the top of the list.
3rd: In "Add and Remove Programs" located in "Control Panel"

Choose "Custom" on the right
