set g(x) equal to 0

since a number squared cant equal zero and you are adding to it, i dont think you have any vertical

horzontally, you have 1 using your rules...i say one

There is one horizontal asym (limit as x goes to infinity), no vert asyms (denominator = 0). Are you looking for oblique asyms?
