hiya i found out I'm having a boy at 17weeks+3 days the clinic i went to does scans from 16weeks. so i reckon you have a good chance at 15weeks...however saying that i was told that its easier to see boys coz off their bits, and sometimes ppl are told its a girl just coz the winky wasn't clear,
so unless your 100% sure that you have seen the sex for yourself don't rush out buying pink/blue stuff.
hopefully your little 1 will be showing off what it has and you'll know
good luck

YES, YES, YES it can. Everyone telling you No has been misinformed. I go to a high risk OB, and he started checking at 13 weeks. I get an ultrasound every three weeks. He said at 13 he was pretty sure it was a girl. He said he would know even better at 16. And yes, i am having a girl. He confirms it every 3 weeks, and i'm at 30. He told me the sex of my son at 15 weeks. BUT, BUT, BUT if this is your one and ONLY ultrasound, I would not bank my money on the accuracy. Of course they are going to be more accurate the longer you wait!!! And it depends on the position of the baby, and how good your tech is, and so forth. Around the 10th week, your babys "bump" is transforming into the penis or clitoris, so the longer you wait, the better. But YES it is possible to tell. But I wouldn't paint anything pink or blue unless you are going to have another one! Good luck!

So your actually about 3 &1/2 months along.. Usually they'll do it at around 4 months, but that was back, in the days when I was pregnant.. The last time I was pregnant was 12 years ago. I got my 4 children 2+2=4, 2 girls, 2 boys. So, I got tied, too, while I was in the hospitol, after having my youngest daughter. I figured 4 was quite a "Blessing enough". So, but now adays, you just never know? You probably will be able to see what the sex is, with this next visit. I've also heard in some cases, them going into the embreo, sack, and doing DNA, tests, to tell the sex, that way, or maybe it was some other way. But I do think they had to stick a really long needle right in the Mommy's belly button., in order to do it. It seems like I had a friend who had it done, years ago, for some reason, or another. But, I hate needles, and I would have never been that desperate to find out, what my babies sex was. Is this your first baby? I'm simply asking because most women who are pregnant with their first baby, like to be "Surprised" but, then again, now adays, its so much nicer, knowing, so you can make sure to buy "Pink" or "Blue" for the baby, ahead of time. With my oldest, I wanted a son, so bad, I told everyone, dont buy me anything Pink , this baby is going to be a boy!! And they came to my shower with all baby boy clothes. And to my dismay, I had a girl, and is she "Gorgeous" and I wouldn't wish any different, now. But, in those days, I think every woman wants to give her husband his first son. It used to be almost a "Traditional" thing in the "50s" to want your first born to be a boy, so you could name it, Jr. you know. And this would have been my gift, to her father, giving him his first born SON !!! NOT!! Ha ha! Its all good now, and she will be 26, Oct 31st!! She's making me feel old, the older she gets, Ha! But, then I have her little sister, who's 14 years younger, to keep me young!! Hey, good luck,,with your ultrasound, and just ask them if they will check the babies sex, for you, this time. I would just tell them you want to start shopping but cant until you know, what the baby will be. Congratulations are in order, and you enjoy your new little "Bundle of Joy" when he/she, gets here!! Smile!

I found out my baby was a boy during my 14 week ultrasound, so yes, there is a possibility you'll walk out knowing whether it will be a boy or a girl! :)

I'm not sure if it will be possible or not. I have 3 kids and every time I was pregnant I was always told by the doctors that you can not tell until you are at least 20 weeks. Good luck to you!!

It totally depends on how well trained the person giving the ultrasound is.

It is very possible. The sex of the baby can usually be determined by the thirteenth week (after 3 months)

Yes and no. They may be able to tell--they may not. If they do tell you the sex--I wouldn't start painting the nursery blue or pink. It's important to understand also that while they do tell you the sex (at 20 weeks) at that time it's not 100% guaranteed.

its very possible. but don't count on it to be 100 percent accurate. at 20 weeks the sex is clearly visible and at that point you could start planning from there.

If the sonographer is very experienced and the machine is the best then yes they can tell. But remember the earlier you are the more inaccurate the result could be!
