G6, X3, M5, LS (was a Lincoln, now a Lexus model name - go figure) - I HATE the generic & confusing list. Someone tells me they bought a new MDX & I don't know if it's a Ford, Hyundai or ??? I like names like Mustang, Corvette, or heck, even Taurus - at least my mind can tie it to a specific car. Why do you suppose auto manufactuerers are perpetuating these confusing nonsense names?

Well I trully hate to say this...but those 3's and letters are actual designations for the build model....yes they can be a pain but it stops them from having to actualy put a name on all the models currently on the market....you never know,if enough people raise a stink about the car being called an MX2 or an RX7 or a SS,the next thing you might be driving could be called the Panzy or the Weeping Willow or the Blue Ox....Be careful what you wish for

There are FAR too many things for me to be concerned about than the silly names that car makers apply to their fleets!

Thank you for mentioning this! I get those kind of car names mixed up all the time.
