I had the same exact problem for about 2 weeks after my son was born. Make sure you are using the right size diapers (weight him and check the diaper package to see if they are the correct size). The way I fixed this was to make his diaper tighter when I put them on him, as a first time my I was really nervous about making them to tight so they were way too loose. Also it can help to check his diaper more often, my son has never cried because he was wet so sometimes I think I let his diaper go a little too long without a change.
Hope this helps you, good luck and have fun with your baby!

P.S. I used Pampers swaddlers and I loved them Huggies are really good too.

It could be one of two things.

#1. The diaper is too small. Try the next size up and see if that helps.

#2. The diaper you are using. Ask 20 moms what diapers work best for their kids and you will get 20 different answers. All kids are different and some diapers just don't do the trick.

If you change sizes and it still happens, try another brand. If that doesn't work, make sure you are putting them on correctly (snug) and that his penis is pointing down. You have to make sure of that or else it will end up everywhere!

I had the same problem with my son pooping and the poop would come up the back of the diaper. Anyway what I did was switch to Huggies, because Huggies has elastic in the back of the diaper to hold the potty in the diaper. One other thing that you may try even if you decide to get the Huggies or stick with Pampers is getting a larger size. I you are using the newborn size get the size one. When my son was a newborn Pampers just didn't work for us, but we may have had the wrong size. I have heard that Huggies are better for boys and Pampers are better for girls.

First of all, are you using the right size...? I used pampers and still do but when my girl was that size we had some problems like that. Just make sure you're using newborn size unless he's a peemie size cause it sounds like they might be too big. Just hang in there for a few weeks and it will stop, at least for me it did. Maybe try to keep him sitting up more often or at least on a slant so that the pee doesn't go right to his back and will be soaked into the diaper.

First, the diaper is probably too small. Those newborn diapers just aren't big enough to absorb everything. Second, make sure all his equipment is pointing in toward the bottom of the diaper when you change him. Most of the problem is likely from the too small diaper.

First of all, congrats on your little pee pot. I would guess that the diaper is too small. You can't go by the sizes on the packs. My daughter can still fit in a size two weight wise, but in order to catch all her stuff, we had to put her in a three. I would go up a size. Also different brands fit different. Good Luck.

Try Huggies. You know how diapers have that elastic edge that points in towards the middle of the diaper? Well Huggies have one at the top of the backside of the diaper. I had the same problem with my first baby, except that he would POOP up the top of his diaper.

Go one size bigger. Newborn sizes fit for maybe half a second. Go to a size 1. I think the Pampers Baby Dry is in a 1.

The diaper is either to small or it is getting to full.
