He was supposed to have a bunch of angels around that he created. This was supposed to have been after he had fought a battle with his arch angel Lucifer, and cast him out of "heaven". maybe he was talking to the angels that had survived the battle........or it could have been his mommy. It says he is alpha (first) and omega (last). My question is where did old alpha come from?

I think the Biblical account of creation is not to be taken so literally. I think the man that wrote the book of Genesis wrote the so called legend of creation in a way that the reader could understand what happened when God created everthing.
God wouldn't have to say anything. He is God.
Man was not created before light (night and day), therefore God would not have literally "said" anything. Things just were created from His Almighty Power.
Humans have a distinct disadvantage to understand what power God has and how He does them. The human mind cannot comprehend a being such as God to encompass everything past, present and future at the same time. Our minds or temporal being does not encompass time and space in the same way, so it does not make sense to say in a literal sense that "God said 'let there be light'" and really not be talking to anyone.

Are you a literalist? But, an answer, regardless is forthcoming. God is a Fullness of Three, not three gods, just one God. Within the Godhead there is an eternal "Conversation". "Let there be light" is a creative command to being itself which came forth from the Divine Command.

God was talking to us for future listening and reading but to ask such a question is like asking did someone make God or what was here before reality and time . christ was here in beginning and he saw these things writeings say this by him saying im alfa and omega or the beginning and the end . he was here before us and witnessed creation of all . whom God commanded and how and why isnt important but yes its a question all humans think of but if we knew i think we wouldnt understand it anyways . God is a mystery to us and we being unperfect desire to know all things but what would we do with that if we did know all things lol . the answer is why God dosent exsplain everything to us . we would do as satan did and you know that result .

You could interpret it as God the Father speaking to the Word, Jesus Christ (who, in the begining, was with God and was God), and/or to the Holy Spirit. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are simultaneously one and three, hence the term trinity, and certainly communicate verbally. Or, perhaps God was directly commanding light to exist.

It was a command. He willed light to exist so it existed. The old testament writers just wanted to show that God created it by having him say it.

It is a metaphor, Genesis is not written as an account of Gods words. Read the introduction at the beginning of the book of Genesis.

He's speaking to his God.
Hence its the saying, if God made human,
who made God?
His own God!
So...he has to tell his own God...
Let there be light!
cheers.
