Only if you have resigned to live you live in question of the inevitable. Now get up, turn off the computer and go outside and play. Get on your bike and ride to starbucks and get a venti Caramel Frapaccino with an added shot. It will give you an attitude adjustment!

You doubt you will die? How is that avoiding truth?...we see dead every day...we know that we have a limited life span...how is it ignorant to accept what is going to take place...no-one rejects the idea as there is no option.....so what is your real question? Are you asking about immortality or just bored. Religions and faith is a very different matter from the question you posed. You are talking about the biological cessation of life...or the spiritual or religious aspect? When you present a question and want and opinion or a conviction, then write in a clear and logical way or the answers will be as slovenly as the question.

I don't think we are ignorant about it. First off, i just think a lot of people don't want to think about it all the time.

Second, I think it's natural to fear death. But then I think of every animal and human that has gone through it before. There's nothing special about me. If they did it, I can do it too.

Depending on how we die, I think more than likely our brains will be deprived off oxygen and we will actually lose consciousness before we bite the big one and probably not remember anything.

What happens after we die? Well, it is probably a lot like before you were born.............

A whole lot of nothingness. Not good or bad. Just was/is/and to become again.

Um, no.

But I guess you would be ignorant and in denial since your avatar is a picture of John Kerry. That pretty much goes with the territory.

PS. Whoops. Sorry. But it did look like John Kerry.

Yes we are. Many people walk through life saying they "live life to the fullest" yet most people out there are only speeding up their trip home while fearing it at the same time. If we were fully aware of implications of death, we would all live in the moment, we would not have a fear in the world nor a worry. We would bless each event, each creative experience brought to us each day. We would forgive, we would love, we would act compassionately and we would walk in the awareness of the divine.

I think the opposite is true. Most people fear death.
Obviously, we will all die at some point, but personally, I don't think we should get hung up on that. Live life the best that you can, so there will be no regrets. Forget about death or you'll miss out on your life.

Most people are aware of death.

But its all about being a live & living.

We have to have an idea of what we are going to be doing with our tomorrows. It takes a lot out of us to go about the tasks of life & it is a waste of what ever time we have left to worry about dieing

You don't have to plan or think about death. It just happens.
Who ever is left does what needs to be done.

To live is to die. When someone dies we live. And so we die for others to live. It's not about fearing death or not, it human's nature to feel fear of something coming to end.
However some may think one can gain something by challenging death itself and thus, in denying the fear.
Deep inside, we all afraid of death cauz death symbolizes end. We are afraid but by continuinng living, we indulge ourselves in the society.
Yes, we do deny death, thinking science might one day save us.

Neither denial nor ignorant. We accept the fact that we are born just to die one day! We accept that we are going to die one day.

Yes, we always have been in denial of it. That's why mankind has invented so many religions.
