What if your coach is being a jerk and is letting a girl on the comp basketball team without even trying out. is that fair? what should i say to the coach? Help me out here.

tell ur coach that u think its not fair but make sure u know the whole story first, maybe that girl is sick or has already talked to the coach. If shes good enough to make the team and will be one of the best players i think u should just let her make it

C'mon Hot Stuff !! What could you possibly say to the coach that would change his/her mind???
Are you being excluded? If you are, then you should say something llike asking why. But if she's just another competing player, forget it and let it go.
Unfortunately, life is full of major disappointments that we have no control over. This one really doesn't rate very high in the whole scheme of life.

P.S. Chances are this coach has inside information about this player's ability that you don't know. In any case, none of what you said qualifies the coach as being a jerk. Name-calling doesn't do anything for us except a "spoiled-brat" label.

You should go up to him after practice and talk to him and explain your feelings about the situation. See if you two can come to some kind of agreement over what to do. Maybe he could agree to watching the girl for a few days during the regular practices to see where she fits in with the team. Good luck!!

school sports are all politics. at my school whoever pays the coach the most money gets a starting position. in my opinion just play with your friends in a rec league.

This is a tough situation because they might not want to take and crap so don't go up to them and just say that they are wrong just say what you think they could do better.
