There are all kinds of Wires(traces) on the motherboards. Data Bus, Address Bus, Power Bus, Control Bus, and Ect. I think you might mean outside the computer in which case it can be a ton of different wires there too. USB,Cat-5e, Firewire, Serial/Parallell, Fiber, Coax, or Scsi.

There are no wires attached to your CPU. It plugs directly into your motherboard using pins.

If by CPU you mean the processor, then it's the FSB or Front side Bus.
