Sometimes people think they can close just an answers account and end up deleting their entire account. Also if you let your userid and password be found out, someone could close your account or more likely use it to send spam , causing it to be deleted for violating the TOS.

generally email companies like yahoo,msn keep a time limit for inactivity for their account users and if the user shows inactivity beyound the time limit then the company deletes the account to save their memmory space,besides the account user also have to abid by the rules and conditions of the company, such as not to send porn, spam etc and if they are caught in such acts then the company deletes their account on charges of violation of rules and conditions.

if you don't check into the mail rooms of all your accounts within 90 days,, yahoo will delete the whole account.. bummer eh.. here's a # you can call ... microsoft 800-642-7676.. ask them, if you can't find the answer here ; )

After 4 months yahoo will close an account , if not used.
They will also close them if user is using abuse and it's proven.
Sexual or otherwise.
