Dialysis four hours a day, three days a week.

It's disheartening to realize those two tubes are what's keeping you alive. And it is painful watching those sitting beside you as they suffer, have moments of triumph, and even sometimes die.

But you do develop a strong sense of community and you have strong support group.

I am not, but my grandfather has been on dialysis for about 7 years now. He is ok, it's only a little annoying having to be there for 3hours 3 times a week, but I think it has helped him to have good health (besides his kidneys)
