It is a screwed on coupling, the last one before the wall. I tighten it, then maybe a week later it is loose again. it is in the back of the the cabinet so it don't get bumped. If I was to wrap the male end of the coupling with plumbers teflon tape, would that help?

Change the fitting sounds like flat threads, it will tighten but will work loose, always use the tape, good luck

Use a new slip nut, make certain there is a plastic gasket between the nut and the fitting. Teflon tape may fix but for peace of mind so the nut. Those drain fittings are designed such that use of tape unnecessary.

You may need someone to clean your sink pipes that lead to the sewer or call a plumber.

It is easiest to just replace the whole drain pipe system. It will come in a kit. I used to have leaks all the time until I just replaced everything.

You should call home depot or lowes and ask them. It may take something more that teflon tape.
