So i have a friend i had called last night and she told me that she had unprotected sex with her boyfriend twice...only because her lame excuse was that they had no money to buy condoms. She asked me last night if i would be willing to lend her some money to go and buy her a pregnancy test. I asked her "did you ask anyone else?" Basically me saying no. I have to keep my money for my personal sake...meaning college, car, and licence, and other future stuff. She doesn't work cuz she is lazy to work 5 days a week and like 4-5 hours a day. All she does everyday is have sex. And i think its her own personal issue that she got herself knocked up. If she wants to ask for help she can either ask her mom or the state. She doesn't want her mom to find out, cuz her would would go crazy on her (but either way her mom will find out that she is pregnant). My parents tell me not to lend her it...and im not gonna cuz i didn't want to in the first place. Neither her or her boyfriend are working.

And neither one of the has the responsiblity to have a child. She is 18 and he will be 18 next year in April. What do you think of this whole situation?
plus, she told me last night she didn't know how to tell him, and i told her to just tell him. So i haven't herd anything since then.

Would you lend money to some friend for a pregnancy test?
btw, my friend was on BC (birth control) but took her self off two weeks ago.

She is aware of what she is doing, she seems crave attention anywhere she can get it, a baby is nothing compared to a sexually transmitted disease. I would look up some agencies in your area, social services will point you in the right direction, they can help her with birth control,and test her for diseases, and even possibly find her a job or training for a job, write her out a list and hand it to her, you would be helping her a great deal. She needs it!

I would not have lend money to a friend for that kind of stuff. She shouldn't be having sex. She's just giving herself away. Would a true friend ask you for something like that? Not that I know of.

If she really is your friend lend her the money. True friends accept each other for their differences--no matter what stupid situations the other one gets themselves in. It's important to stand by her side. My goodness I'm happy I'm not your "friend" in that situation!
Pregnancy tests cost a dollar at the dollar store. Can't you spare a buck. If not you are really not her "friend."
Re-evaluate your friendship with this girl.
As for telling her mom--that's horrible! True friends don't cover up trouble (when asked) but they don't "tattle tale" on each other either.

i wouldn't give her the money. you're not the one who is having unprotected sex, so why should you spend your hard earned money. not only that, there are places that she could go to get a free test, like a planned parenthood clinic.

tell her to go to the health unit and they'll give her a test for free. odds are she wants the money for something else. you can buy a condom for almost nothing.

She is not your responsibility. Let her figure it out. She didn't ask for help when she was spreading her legs, so she shouldn't be asking now.
