Okay so I met this guy from my city. And when he asked for a pic i sent him my friend (she was right beside me letting me use it). So anyways he wants to meet me and he says i am a sweet person and whatnot. He is a very nice guy. Although he is overly 3 years older then me. Anyways,i told my friend that she had a date with him (the one that let me use her pic) and she said okay, that she would do me the favor. But, i so happen to like this guy now because he is nice and stuff. So i dont know how to tell this to my friend? I am going with her on their date because she doesn't know anything about him and i do. He told me he doesn't care as far as looks go. But the only reason i used my friend's pic is because you never know what kind of pedophiles are out there. And he lived in my city so the chance of him knowing me was big. I am planning on telling him who i am after the date. So what should I do? Should I tell my friend that i want him or should I just let it go?

Just to clear something up. My friend KNOWS about the whole situation and the DANGEROUS stuff. So don't tell me i am feeding her to pedofiles because i told her that i ahve never met the guy and i can't guarentte to her how he is.

So let me get this strait. You tried to feed your friend to a (possible) pedophile. You lied to a guy as a test. Now you want to get together with this guy. It has been my experience that dishonesty is not a good basis for starting a relationship. You can try but there is a god chance that you will lose not only this guy but also your friend. It's too late to tell the truth now. Sorry.

hmm yeah you're right there a lot of pedophiles out there, but why the heck did you send him your friend's pic? that's just wrong. If you didn't want to send him your pic you should have said so. If he really likes you he would have understood. Now it will look like you were lying to him. See what happens on the date (if you're going) and then decide after.

Throwing your friend in the path of a possible pedophile instead of yourself by using her picture? Nah, that sounds like you're just the best friend any girl who wants to get raped or murdered could possibly ask for. Pedophiles prey on children - just how old are you?

well to me it doesn't seem that big of a deal, but tell your friend before the date because she might get a little freaked out on going on a date with a strange man. i think it was a good idea to not use your own pic because there are some really bad people out there. But at least tell him that you are you and you are not your friend when you are on the date.

i hope this helps :)

A friend of mine did this to me. She was REALLY UGLY. She asked me if I would go with her on Valentine's Day to bring her boyfriend a gift. Just before we got to his house, she explained to me that he had never seen her before and asked me to pretend that I was her. His parent's were there, so I introduced myself (as her) TO HIS WHOLE FAMILY. He had a friend over there, so the four of us decided to go for a walk to get away from the peeps. As we were walking, he was staring real hard at me as if he really liked me. My friend was behind us laughing the whole time, as if she was hoping that he would suddenly notice her. Then he reached for my hand and she suddenly jumped in between us and told me that she was going to tell him. So me and the friend walked ahead as she explained what happened. The guy was horrified! Even if you're not butt ugly like my friend, he may think that you are just weird or really lack self-confidence. He may think that you are trying to live through the friend vicariously. I think that you blew this one, or maybe you can try to recover by showing up as yourself, without your friend and explaining to him what happened.

if you are only 14 you shouldn't be dating, let alone meeting someone from online. There are tons of creeps out there and you and your friend need to be safe. Neither one of you should meet this guy.

You shouldnt have said you would go on a date with him out of pity. Go on the date and grab his attention more than hers and he will go for you. and then tell him

good luck hun!
