Depending on location, all three professions can easily be in $100k - $300k range, with doctors and lawyers slightly higher on average than engineers.
The operative word here is "earn". While doctors and lawyers both make a considerable amount of money, most of the actual work is done by administrative assistants, interns, and nurses. I'm in my last year of college to be an engineer and I was disappointed our starting salaries is so low avg is like $45-55k. So engineers don't make that much money.

My bro-in-law is going to be a doctor and his starting could be up to $90-100k.

Dunno about lawyers. You could do a search on the web for starting or avg salaries.
