It should be because they are classics but it`s probably because they like retro.

What???? I had a ramones t-shirt in the 70's and I loved it and them and one day it died in the wash. I was never a punk or anything like that but the Ramones were something else. Now, where can I get me a new t-shirt please? My original one was given to me by a promotor of the band so I probably should have kept it and sold it on ebay for millions of pounds! Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

I sorta agree. I think a bunch a kids want to look punk and they pick the Ramones because its one of the more known/accepted 80s punk bands
but everyone has heard of the song "I wanna be sedated ", it's in pop-culture.

Because they can? Who cares if they've heard of the band or not, It's only clothing. Personally I love the Ramones, but I don't own a Ramones t-shirt.

Bootlegger's parent company bought a whole bunch of classic band trademark rights (including kiss and Led Zepplin and the Ramones) for part of their lineup. The seventies emblems and the fadded colours are part of a retro marketing scheme.
Most teenagers don't care who it is, they saw it on the manniquin and it looks good, so they get it.

punk didn't start with the ramones either. but to answer your question, i think it's because we're just stuck in a bad time where the band is more fashionable for looks for people than they're music is. and it sucks.

Everybody has heard the Ramones, It's not like Blitzkreig Bop isn't on tv commercials, soundtracks and played on the radio .
What I think is sick is the sudden popularity right after Joey's death...before that nooone cared or knew who they were, now they act like he was some kind of legend.

Okay here's the deal .. One of the biggest audiences is the 40 year old crowd.. the music that is geared to them IS ..( The Ramones .. Led Zeppelin.... Black Sabbath... Etc..) The kids that are listening to this music are..........OUR KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT>>> And the funny thing is that when they hear this great music they think that THEY HAVE JUST DISCOVERED it ... They haven't ... But just like some of us discovered EARLY stones .. creedence .. Beatles .. that out parents had in their record collections .. early KINKS... these kids are doing the same,,, since most are middle to high school .. they don't have the funds to subscribe to subscription radio. ( and most parents really don't have that much disposable cash .. so whats ont he radio is what the kids are listening to ... make sense.. Yeah I agree but hey its kinda cool hearing STP >. or Chilli Peppers ..blood sugar sex majic .. and your kids saying isnt that cool MUSIC >> OR WHO IS THIS >> ,,, and you remember back to some really neat days....
