RJ, weighing 160 lbs. sits on a teeter board 10 feet from the fulcrum. The board is kept balanced by two boys who sit on the other end at distances 8 and 10 ft from the fulcrum. When the boys exchange places the balance is preserved if RJ takes a 4-lb weight. Find the weight of each boy

RJ(10) = B1(8) + B2(10)

(RJ+4)(10) = B2(8) + B1(10)

You know that RJ = 160, which leaves you with 2 equations and 2 unknowns. Solve away for B1 and B2, the weights of the boys.
