When I took HTML, it took (opps) 11 weeks of everyday 7 hour classes here in Canada.

You can just surf the internet and google "learn HTML" (or something of that nature), there are lots of sites that are willing to teach you if you try and want to learn.. I know I needed the actual course though.. and let me gloat for a minute (as really, I never do.. :) I got a 99% in that class! wooohooo!

Learning the basics of HTML is very, very easy. Learning to do it WELL is a bit trickier.

I recommend learning basic HTML and assembling a few simple pages without worrying too much about their appearance. After that, you can apply some simple CSS formatting rules. Once you get the hang of that, if you want to code some "intelligence" and responsiveness into your site, you can learn some PHP and maybe MySQL.

Then you can spend ten years improving your technique. :-) But the basic stuff is really not too hard. Search for "HTML tutorial" and "CSS tutorial" to get started.

"Using historical examples for his paper, New Evidence on the Interest Rate Effects of Budget Deficits and Debt, Mr Laubach came to the conclusion that “a percentage point increase in the projected deficit-to-GDP ratio raises the 10-year bond rate expected to prevail five years into the future by 20 to 40 basis points, a typical estimate is about 25 basis points”. The US deficit has blown out from 3pc to 13.5pc in the past year but long-term rates are largely unchanged. Assuming Mr Laubach’s “typical estimate”, long-term rates have to climb 2.5 percentage points. He added: “Similarly, a percentage point increase in the projected debt-to-GDP ratio raises future interest rates by about 4 to 5 basis points.” Economists are predicting a wide range of ratios but Mr Congdon said it was “not unreasonable” to assume debt doubling to 140pc. At that level, Mr Laubach’s calculations would see long-term rates rise by 3.5 percentage points. The study is damning because Mr Laubach was the Fed’s economist at the time, going on to become its senior economist between 2005 and 2008, when he stepped down. As a result, the doubling in rates is the US central bank’s own prediction. " Doesn't look good, does it?

basic html knowledge can be gained in one week
but html works as a base for many languages in web designing
such as javascript,css,jsp etc

so my dear first learn html
develop a page or two
then u might be needing database support

so first start learning

a mere knowledge of just html won't work my dear

Piece of cake man you can master HTML In a week. Other lanugages like PHP, Java, VBscript, Mysql, or Perl might take you longer though but best thing for them is to get a book.
