Why is it when your in a job, there always has to be some sort of purke sort of speak to get ahead? How do these ppl live with themselves on a daily basis knowning they brown nose higher management to get ahead? It is so clear to others what they are doing? Politics ?? Someone said to me, " Ahhh just play the game" I thought about this and I can't brown nose to get ahead. This is not a interpersonal skill but a sorry excuse to get ahead. Why can't management see who their dedicated workers are and reliable rather than see someone who brown noses? This question has been on my mind from time to time when i see it happening or when i see someone who deserves a promotion gets overlooked, especially when they are more than qualified.

This is usually the way the system is set up. It really sucks. What you will find out down the road, is that all the brown nose-rs are tossed aside after they have been used up, like a used rug, if you know what I mean{special favor-es) . They will respect you more if you don't give in. I know it's not always fair. Stay straight and do what you heart tells you to do. Lack of respect and appreciation are in all business's.

It is to be. There is no doubt about it. The whole point of existence is to be and that is how you are . You may deny it but that is the whole truth. There is not only credibility which is required in a job but visibility too. So like a good quality soap nicely packed which will not be picked up by customers if it is not placed in the visible area, anybody who wants promotion has to know how to market themselves too. It's a sad situation but that's how it is... I was always the one that was over looked... I just can't bring my self to stick my nose up someones a*ss to get a promotion... I take more pride in the fact that i have concentrated on the quality of my work... i so agree with you on this... good topic to dicuss with your boss... grow some balls and confront them... not you but to anyone that feels over looked... hope this helped someone...
