of course you do. would you go get a manicure and expect it to be free?
never cut a rabbit's toenails at home - you could hit a nerve and cause it tremendous pain. the vet MUST do it

Yes, most vets charge. I would go to the vets for the first time you get your rabbits nails clipped, so that you can be taught how short to clip them.
Depending on how jumpy your rabbit is, and whether they sit still long enough for you to safely cut the nails without going as far as the bloody bit, then in future you could probably do it yourself.
Vets make mistakes as well, but might be better to be taught before you do it, as it will hurt if you cut too far (just like if you cut your finger instead of the nail).
If you do plan on doing it yourself then make sure you can see the nail through a light or so you can see where the blood ends and where it is just nail. Leave a few millimeters between the nail/blood divide and where you cut. I used to use nail clippers, some prefer nail scissors though. The vet usually uses special "animal nail clippers" but I find it harder to see the nail through them.

Yes you do and it depends on the vet as to the cost, but i took my rabbit for its teeth cut as they weren't aligned so the just kept growing. It cost less than £10. The vet then advised me to buy some strong nail cutters as the rabbit would always need its teeth trimming.
I did them all the time since.

Yes. Why not do it yourself? Just take it easy and make sure not to cut into the quick. This can be seen as a pink core in the nail and should be visible if the nails are light coloured. If they are dark or black, just remove the tip of the nail a little at a time.

It depends on the vet, I once worked at a vet clinic and if the owner had an appointment that they didn't charge. But if someone came in just to have thee animals nails clipped then yes.

Yes, you are paying for his time. You can cut them yourself, but unless you have two people (one to hold and one to clip) it can be a daunting prospect. Dont forget that bunny nails bleed a lot if you clip the quick, and on dark nails its very hard to see. Also that dewclaw on the front paws is a bugger to get.

Yes, you do have to pay, and the cost can be expensive. It is better if you learn to do it yourself. You can always try wrapping your bunny in an old towel to keep him from kicking and scratching you while you clip his nails. I used to do that with my bunny when I was younger. Just be sure to wrap him firmly but not too tight, as you don't want to hurt him (and leave his head sticking out). Good luck.

yes you will have to pay but ask the vet to show you how to do it yourself then you wont need to pay again. its a simple procedure if your bunny will park its bum for long enough. if its wriggling hold him upside down get somebody to help so he gets used to it and only cut a small amount you dont want to cut the live bit or you will be paying more money to vet.

Go to a vet or the groomers. My uncle got his rabbits nails cut at the groomers though and she died because it scared her. You have to be careful but you have to cut her nails. Do not do it yourself.
