They only physical sign of whether a girl is a virgin or not is the hymen. It's not the most accurate way of telling since there are so many things that could cause a hymen to become detached.

no. the hymen which people often use to determine virginity is not always accurate. some women do not have a hymen or they break it as children falling or using tampons. a woman with a fully intact hymen can be clearly shown as a virgin (although there is surgery oddly enough to replace or reconstruct your hymen). so short answer no not always. because you could be a virgin with no hymen or not a virgin with reconstruction or a stretchy partial hymen that never ripped but moved out of the way.

No. The hymen can be broken through physical actives such as riding a bike and almost anything. Also inserting a tampon can break they hymen. Don't worry. they will probably ask if you are physically active.

generally yes, when you lose your virginity your hymen breaks, although this can happen other ways. If your worried your doc will tell your parents that your not a virgin, they can't do that.

hymens can get busted in other ways than from having sex... but the most likely cause is that you had sex....
but another poster is right...the doctor can NOT tell your parents...by law....that you are no longer a virgin..if you tell them not to......
i had to go because my parents suspected that i was having sex and the doctor was such a big liar to try to scare me when he found out that i was having sex.... he gave me stuff for a yeast infection but told me that i had chlamydia which is a sexually transmitted disease that requires antibiotics... i believed him for years as i was very young at the time...... but that still didn't get me to confess to having sex or anything........
i only found out that i had never had chlamydia when i went to the health department years later and i wasn't registered as having had it... that is a disease they have to report.......

Most of the time. If you're a virgin, you hymen will be intact...although that's not 100% rule.
