I think gay relationships are the same as hetero relationships. No one seems to stay together anymore. However, I do know of some very long lasting gay relationships. A friend of mine has been with his partner for 26 years! Another buddy of mine lost his love to aids but they were together for 10 years. My aunt is currently on a five year plan so far with her partner. And, I'm str8 and my marriage failed after 11/2 years! I have a lot to learn!

Some last like in other relationships I suppose. Gay relationships tend to be more open and flexible as far as I know !!

How many monogamous relationships last? In the USA there are more single people than married. It all depends on the individuals, not what type of relationship they have.

Of course they do - I've been happily and monogamously with my partner for nearly 10 years!!
People who have open relationships are still together and very often still very much in love - it's just a choice they make and doesn't make their relationship any less valid!

No relationship is ever perfect. It just depends on the people in the relationship and what they are in the relationship for. Some are in them for love and some are in them for sex, or whatever. Just know where you stand in the relationship.

most can last quite a long time...my boyfriend and I broke up b/c we lived 2 hours apart and it was hard to find time to see each other with school and work....
there are a few that are very short b/c the guy is looking for a 2 wk thrill and gets bored once the 2 wks are over

Yes they do. My florist is getting very old and he has lived with the same guy since they were in their early 20s (they are at least 70something now). I also know a lot of gay couples who have lived together for decades.

i think a gay relationship seems to last for long it up to two people to make their relationship to last for long
