In the past ten years, the following were replaced - Goodyear, Chevron, Sears, Union Carbide, Travlers (bought by Citi), Allied Signal (bought by Honeywell), International Paper, and Eastman Kodak. I know in the early 90s Bethlehem Steel and Woolworth were also some of the components. Somewhere on the web I'm sure there's a great chart that shows the history of all of the components.

goto yahoo finance. Get Quote for DIA which is the ETF for DOW. And than look at holdings it will give you full list. Just for fun I will try to name all. Alcoa, Altria, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Caterpillar, GM, Hewlet Packard, United Technologies, Proctor Gamble, JNJ, AIG, Exxon, Boeing, MMM, US Steel, Merck, Pfizer, Coke, JP Morgan, Verizon, Wal mart, Honeywell, Dupont , Mcdonalds, AT&T, Disney and Home Depot. That is 31 so US Steel may not be right.
