Please have a professional do the brakes, the brakes aren't something to guess on.

If it is disc brakes you would need these tools:
1.C-clamp
2. some wrenches

If it is a drum brakes you would need this tool kit:
brakes spring tool kit (these could have all the tools needed to do the job)
