Puppers AP The Iraqis who are here originally were people being persecuted by Saddam Hussein whilst he was America's puppet. He gased the kurds using chemical and biological weapons sold to him by Donald Rumsfeld (who the BBC showed footage hugging Saddam and saying Saddam was his best friend!). Why should we repatriate these Iraqis if you believe Saddam was so evil Bitain had to invade his country illegally. Any Iraqis coming to the UK subsequent to Saddam being ousted are under the geneva convention recognised refugees as their lives would be in danger if the stayed in Iraq either by Allied troops torturing and killing Iraqis (which they can't distinguish from freedom fighters "insurgents") or from other cultural communities since the allied invasion and removal of Saddam has sparked civil war. Either was pre or post Iraq war those refugees have a right to be in the UK - unlike british soldiers who are illegal occupiers!

As for peacekeeping the only thing the Allies have secured are the oil wells and infrastructure to make Dick Cheney and Bush's shares in Halliburton go up! Even General Richard Dannatt commander of the British forces in Iraq admitted the Allied soldiers were part of as well as the cause of the problem and should get out!

If peace and democracy is the goal US and UK should have got out after the deposed Saddam and handed over to a UN peacekeeping force comprised of independent or muslims; not stuck around to drill oil and install new puppet governments.

Well even if it does happen, will there be any justice or compensation for the misery caused? I am not including the few individuals and corporations who "made a killing" from these wars.

The US and UK taxpayers will be saddled with about a trillion dollars of debt. The surviving iraqis will have gone from a nation with average incomes greater than the US/UK with free education and a health service (with the most up-to-date equipment) that even Bush and blair would be jealous of to a nation where people can barely have enough to eat and cant even get fuel for their cars.

Why dont we just accept that 92% of iraqis want the US and their allied troops to leave and pretend we are carrying out their "democratic" wishes.

It does appear that things are unravelling for the uk and usa at the moment, i beleive the latest issues in Britain to do with the Hijab is to stir up contentions and distract people from what i can only describe as a long overdue pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The UK and USAshould never have been there in the first place, perhaps they will divert their attention to Iran or Korea next, lets hope that they learn to keep their noses out from the last experiences but i fear not.

What will happen is whatever is necessary to get the world ready to believe in the next big lie, whatever that is.

It will confound every one, every where, it will look like the people's fault and the wealthy's solution.

Our president has the congress giving him the power of torture and now we are all endangering our own lives by merely discussing the matter.

Prepare to be ultimately deluded... it's all smoke and mirrors, either side you choose to believe, you lose.

Life is much bigger than politics, escape while you can.

Remember, we (the British Army) are there now as peace keepers, what the Iraqi's choose to do now i.e. kill each other and destroy their country and lively hoods is their own doing and our lads and lassies will not be to blame. As for me I would like to see all iraqi's here in the U.K. repatriated and our brave forces returned home as heroes ..

I hope so. It was a stupid mistake to go there in the first place. I heard the same arguments for "sticking it out" during Vietnam, and all we got out of that war was more than 50, 000 dead. Time to get out.
