I know you said no guy costumes but sometimes guy costumes on women are fun. My idea for you is a football player you can wear a football jersey over a hoodie sweatshirt for warmth long johns underneath. Actualy any sport would be fun, baseball and hockey are ideas too, What ever kind of jersey you have available.
Another idea is a deer hunter. Wear your hubby's plaid flannel or camouflage with a orange hunter hat. You can take a child's play riffle. Don't forget to pin your deer hunting license on your back.
The reason I like these two costumes is that you can do your hair and make up pretty and have a fun costume that would be church appropriate.
Have fun and enjoy that is the main thought of the event. Everyone will just be glad you came. I hope you liked these ideas.
God Bless.

right here is a few concepts: bo-peep a fairy a marionette doll (with the pink circle cheeks, curled hair, a flouncy gown, dazzling eyelashes and strings related of direction) a facebook/myspace internet site (use cardboard) somebody from a definite term 50s,60s,70s,80s(very enjoyable!) or from medieval/rennaissance normally familiar fictional charachter or a fairytale character-Rapunzel, etc. This one is rather tacky yet certainly one of you ought to string small ceral boxes on a bite of rope then stick forks through the boxes and positioned on it around your neck (hence THE CEREAL Killer)get it?? Yeah that one ought to be to "gay" for you (on the grounds that 13yr olds who do matching costumes are) yet its in simple terms a tenet.

You could be a character from your favorite movie, like glinda or dorothy from the wizard of oz.
One year my friend went as a slinky. She made a giant spring coiled around her with wire, and then braided wire into her hair and twisted it into coils. She even put a large slinky over each arm
I went a a credit card once. I got two pieces of cardboard and attatched them with ribon, then hung the boards over my shoulders. I wrote on a fake credit card number on it, and got a shiny sheet of paper that was sticky on the back and put it on the front board.
You could also go as Miss America, and just wear a semi-formal dress and make a sash from paper or cloth, and make or buy the tiara. Hope this helps!

Christmas Caroler--
--Bundle up in warm winter clothes, coat, scarf, mitens etc
--Either get a Christmas song book or make a fake one using construction paper says "Songs of Christmas" or something like that
--Maybe take a thermos of hot chocolate
-- Be prepared to sing a carole or two...
(oh and remind people they only have 45 days until Christmas, trust me it shocks them and scares some too, yes that's right only 45)
Have Fun!
