She would like to sell it. She paid over £1,200 for it 20 years ago. Does anyone know the best place to value and sell the watch. It is in perfect condition and original box etc....

Price is around that much. I saw one that sells £1,395 and US $2,445 . It really depends on the condition of the watch. I think yours can even be higher since its in perfect condition.
I suggest you go to different watch stores and see how much they are willing to buy it .. and pick the highest bidder. You can also try websites like http://www.watches.co.uk/ where you can sell your watch or sites like ebay.

Check with eBay or phone some jewelry stores for an estimate of value. If for insurance purposes, get a jewelry store to write an evaluation. Here it costs about $20 for an evaluation.
