solve the given equation in terms of x
then 2ax+b=3ax+x+3
move all x term one side
b-3=ax+x
take x common
b-3=x(a-1)
x=(b-3)/(a-1)
the value of x can be determined all real values except a=1;
which make the denominator 0 and thus x undefined therefore
value of x undetermined is when a=1

First, combine like terms:

3ax - 2ax + x = b - 3

ax + x = b - 3

x(a + 1) = b - 3

x = (b - 3) / (a + 1)

The only time this is indetermined is if a = -1, because this would give you a division by zero.

b can be anything.

Eqn indetermined ??
You can simplify it.

(b-3) = x(a+1)
i.e. x = (b-3)/(a+1)

I guess eqn would have no value if a = -1 & b = 3
