There ought to be limits to freedom.
-- George W Bush, complaining about a website critical of him, at an Austin Press Conference, May 21, 1999.

Do you believe that George W Bush has limited our American rights and freedom?

Lets see.... he has free reign to spy on us at will without warrant, he has the right to arrest and detain anyone who is labeled a "terrorist" indefinately and without trial (and btw according to the patriot act is anyone who break local, state or federal law), He's allowed to torture. He's set up a 1/4mi area around his ranch in TX where free speech is not allowed. I'm trying to be unbiased about the whole thing.... really, I am. But honestly, folks.... you tell me.

Yes and he continues to do so with the recently Habeaus Corpus ruling. Shrub, I truly believes, wants a dictatorship, and if things do not change in the upcoming November elections, I feel that this country will be on the brink, if not fuly engaged in an all out civil war, by the time the 08 pres. elections come around. How many other freedoms are we going to be ok "limiting" in order to "protect" us from terrorists. The biggest terrorist we have to face is the current resident of the white house.

Nope.
And there have ALWAYS been limits to freedom.
Can you yell "fire" in a movie theater?
Can you threaten to assassinate the President, or any other member of the federal government?
Can you kill someone if you don't like them?
Can you rape at will without worrying about being punished?
Can you wave a gun at a police officer?
Can you get however drunk you want and beat your spouse and/or children?
Can you own slaves in the US?

No? You can't do any of those?
There ARE limits to freedom, as well there SHOULD be.
No, President Bush has not limited any of our rights or freedom.

Non-US citizens are NOT protected by habeas corpus, sorry. Neither are unlawful combatants and terrorists!

Would you limit his Freedom of Speech to rebutt the website? And would believe there should be Freedom to Yell Fire in a Theater?
