My husband and I are ttc, and I'm a day late for my period. My question is when your late and you think you might be pregnant do you still get cramps as if your going to start? But the cramps are a little different from the mentrual cramps. I will get the cramps for 1 min. and then they go away, and then like 10 mins later I'll get it again. Now if I had my period they would be constantly for a day or two. It might be to soon to take a pregnancy test, which I have one, just don't want to use it right now, and waste it.

I know that right before I found out I was preg I thought I was going to start my period. I kept telling my hubby, man I can't wait to start so that I can get this period over with! Now we laugh about it because it is the same thing I did with the first pregnancy. I guess I can only tell you this from personal experience, but I does sound like you could be pregnant. You get little pains like that because of the changes your body goes through. Your uterus is being stretched. I would go ahead and take the test. Most of them are made so that they will pick up the slightest Hcg hormone trace. Good luck! I hope you get your baby!!

Totally take the test. I had cramps for three weeks prior to my period being late, so bad that i took medication and wore a pad. I really thought i was going to start my period.

Turns out I was pregnant. If you are pregnant the cramps will last for the first coupe months. They pass after 3 months and are usually replaced by the burning pulling stinging sharp pains of stretching tendonds, which you have clear through pregnancy.

Good luck!!!

I think you shoud wait about a week or two before you take a test. Rememer that your cyle dates will change periodically because how many days are in each month. Normally you can count every 28 days starting with the first day of your cycle. Its very rare that people have cyles wwhile pregnant but it happens. Its just too soon to tell for you. Be patient.

PMS symptoms and pregnancy symptoms sometimes are the same and its hard to distinguish one from the other. The symptoms of pregnancy (nausea, vomitting, dizziness etc) are not conclusive and are not reliable basis for confirming pregnancy. Only a confirmation of an OB Gyn thru confirmation of the three positive signs of pregnancy (audible fetal heart sound/tone, palpable fetal outline, and thru ultrasonography) could confirm your pregnancy.

However, if you are anxious to know if you are indeed pregnant then go ahead and take the test.

Most tests available are very sensitive that they can detect pregnancy as early as three days before your due date.

If it would give you peace of mind then using your pregnancy test kit would'nt be a waste of money.

Good day!

A day is too early to take the test. wait at least for 8 days, before you take the test.
good luck

Yes, my girlfriend also had her period after she'd conceived, but not the following month. I can't remember the doctor's exact explanation but it's too early for you to tell.
