Traditionally, Spurs fans have always taken pride in the fact that their team played attractive attacking football that was successful.
But for at least 20 years, this has not been the case and their deadly rivals Arsenal, who were always considered very defensive and dull, have undoubtedly been playing better and more attractively.At the same time, Chelsea, always a small club, have suddenly grown and eclipsed Spurs because of their sudden wealth.
Spurs fans find it very hard to admit that their team is now nothing as important as it was 20 years ago.

i think because Londoners separated their support to too many club...i mean London have Chelsea, Arsenal and many club that participate in other division...
naybe Tottenham had less suporters than the others thats why they looks like they were so hated...

This ain't a rascist answer..I live in London. QPR supporter.
I hesitate to say that it's bcz of the Jewish connection. As we know, their opponents always look for a weak, lowest common denominator point for attack.
Unfortunately, this is as much a social problem as it is a football problem.
