Great question. A better question would have been, when are they going to update it?
When I google earth it shows the early stages of the construction of my house which was just about five years ago. We started in that July and it shows the start of the foundation.

I have read alot about Google Earth, but the images you see are anywhere from 3 to 6 years old depending if you have the free or Professional versions of Google earth

I put a new roof on my house 2 1/2 yrs ago and google earth still shows the old roof......so I don't think it's updated very often no matter what they say.
