I've never heard that white skin was "clean", I heard some racist say it was "pure". No, black skin is not ugly. God made people different colors for a reason, who doesn't think a rainbow is beautiful?

The natural color or tint of skin has nothing to do with cleanliness or beauty. The reason that many think of light skin being clean is because almost everything that is washed comes out lighter.
When kids play and get dirty, their skin is lighter after being washed. Miners come out of the mines coal black, after bathing their skins are much lighter.
On the other hand, when a dark skinned person works in a flour mill, after bathing his skin is darker and cleaner. But in far far more cases it's the other way around.
Don't be too hard on those who associate clean with light. It's quite natural.

Some of the most beautiful people in the world are black. I don't think black skin is ugly or white skin is clean. In fact, I see alot of dirty old white people. LOL

Whoa!!! How are you making the association between White skin being clean and Black skin as ugly. The normal thing here would be clean and dirty.
By virtue of 'white' being seen as 'clean' in people's minds - in Westerns the good guy wore white, the bad guy wore black.
But I happen to think that Black is truly beautiful - so I don't think of it as being either ugly or dirty.

Skin color is not a problem to me.
White skin was seen as "clean" because the fairest people could stay inside the house all day, and never have to see the sun, and get tan. Funny how society's changed, and now everyone is going to the fake and bake salons to get golden.

In many cultures, the whiter your skin, the less exposed you've been to the sun, so it was unlikely you had worked at outdoor (dirty) manual labor.
No, I don't think black skin is ugly. A black soul (one that is hateful, evil, etc.) is ugly. Skin is just a covering.

White skin black skin is just human mentality; ther's more to skin and what's beneath it than just color. Adam the first human being to be created was black!!
