I think I have accidentaly removed hardware that I didn't want to from my PC. I used the remove hardware button to disconect my ipod but must have hit the audio controller tab instead.

Reboot your PC and the OS should find any hardware that you removed and reinstall it automatically. The drivers are already on the computer so if it worked before then it should work again.

The drivers shold have been supplied on a cd with the soundcard. Alternatively, if you are using the onboard audio (AC97), go into your BIOS, click on integrated peripherals, SIS OnChip PCI Device, SIS AC'97 Audio and enable it. Press to exit and then save changes and exit BIOS. If you have an audio card don't do this as this will disable the card bus.

I believe HITMAN is referring to Belarc Advisor, which will give you a comprehensive listing of all the hardware in your computer. If this is the case, you can download it from the link I've given.

Go on gooogle and search for berlack advisor download it will keep all your drivers up to date.
