The special feeling is gone. You look at them and don't see the person you love-you see a stranger.

Love is a decision (there's even a book with that title - I suggest you buy it). If you are an adult and are referring to your marriage or long term relationship - get counseling. If you are a kid and are talking about your boyfriend of the moment, your parents relationship (or friends or whomever), or if this is just a curiosity question . . . telling someone you love someone in a way that leads them to believe you mean it is serious and should be treated that way. In todays world it seems to just be a term thrown around as easily as 'Hello'. Breakups are glamourized by the media and our youth is taught that it's okay to just walk away from a relationship when something more interesting comes around, rather than how important and rewarding it can be to work through troubled times together. Two people can be stronger when they both realize that they were each important enough for the other to want to work through adversity.

When you don't feel that warm feeling anymore. When you care what happens to that person, but it doesn't bother when or for how long you are away from that person, often times, you are trying to get away from that person. You know that you are not in love anymore, when you don't want to be intimate, when the thought of the person making love to you, makes your skin crawl. You know that you are no longer in love, when all you do is feel pity and not that deep rooted love that a couple in love should be feeling.

It is not an experience one can describe to someone else. There are many signs, often different for different people at varying times. People simply know it. They asses the various things subconsciously and then know they are no longer in love. Disinterest, anger, resentment, boredom - they can all be signs of an ended love.

When you no longer see anymore "tomorrows" while youre with them. You no longer feel safe and comfortable around them. When you rather be with your friends than with them. When you see your "happily ever after dream " sailing on down the street. But basically, when you start asking questions like this, its a real good sign that its over.

I think that it is different from person to person. I guess when they dont make you smile or happy. When you look at this person and you dont see the person that you once feel in love with. That is a really tough question. I hope that I could help

You can tell because when your around this person you tend not to have your heart beating. You don't think you have that spark anymore. You feel this way about another man your close to.

When the feelings that caused you to think that you were in love with the other person have gone and nothing good has replaced them.

when you stop smiling, when you stop praying for the other person, when you start feeling more bored than happy to be with him, when you look forward to them just getting up out of the bed and going to work and dread their return home, when the words I love you no more longer mean anything and it becomes difficult for you to say them.
