I'm not a corrections officer, but I'd think that one could have pretty much whatever one wanted, provided it were locally available.
I can't imagine getting away with asking for Beluga Caviar and Paul Roget champagne.

In Texas, the "last meal" has to be chosen from dishes ordinarily served by the prison cafeteria -- you only get your choice of jail food. They don't even always allow special ingredients to be supplied by volunteers or staff. Some states limit the cost to $20 or so. Georgia is slightly more enlightened: you can have anything available in the prison or the surrounding town

what are you going to be put to death soon? I think the only limit is how much you can eat after the guards take turns womping your @$$ before they take you off to the chamber.

~~~hmmm,,,good question,,,,according to 'movies' I have seen,,,you can have just about anything you wish,,,,but in reality,,,,they probably give you a list to choose from,,like when your in the hospital and they give you that menu to check from,,,,,
I think I would like either Crab legs,,,Alaskin King Crab legs that is,,,,if I couldnt have that,,,,then Chickenwings,,,,,
