Are you sure it's your bladder that hurts? It's hard to tell sometimes exactly what's hurting when everything is so squished together. If you are positive that it is your bladder then you probably have a slight infection. If it comes and goes it is probably false labor. Your body will soon begin to prepare for delivery so you want to make sure you don't have an infection. Ask your doc at your next visit and he will be able to tell you that day. He would know anyway because they do a urine analysis at every visit. Good Luck and enjoy your baby!

may not necessarily be "bladder" pain. you could have some pain from muscles and ligaments straining from stretching. or you could have a bladder infection. if you have pain when you urinate and you have to urinate a lot more than you used to (i know, stupid thing to say when pregnant, huh?) you should get checked out by your doctor. you might even have a fever and some blood in your urine. of course, at this point, any blood from your vaginal area should be evaluated by your doc, especially if it is accompanied by pain.

this is Joe M's wife: yes it is. i've had 2 kids and abdominal pain is normal. also .. you get pain from the round ligaments in your stomach stretching. also you gotta remember that your baby is pressing down on your bladder and stuff down there gets sore.
