There has always been bad music along with the good. There always will be.
Oddly enough, "good" is in the eye (in this case ear) of the beholder. I cannot tolerate some of the headbanging, screaming "music" of ANY time in musical history, but apparently many people do like it. Go figure.

Thats like saying was music better in prehistoric days better than music of the 1950's. There is bad music in all genres and generations. Music is music. Whatever YOU like is good music to you.

I agree with you, todays music is rubbish, but I dissagree about the 50's music, NOW if you said the 60's, well that is something else, great groups, great music great everything, i'm so glad that I was part of it.......Bring it back I say !

It depends to some extent on how old you are and what music era you grew up in. To me 60/70s were the best music decades.

todays music is not artifical
fool
do your research and listen to some current bands
lots of proper bands around writing some amazing songs
see artic monkeys killers snow patrol to start with then go back a few years to see more crops of greating bands that write brill songs

No, in the 50s it was all rubbish. In the 70s it got better than it is today.

A lot of the 50's songs were remakes 60's-now; so I would say 50's songs had more of a genuine quality. Majority of it was original and innovative.

Depends on the genre. Good jazz etc, but the 'pop' music was boring and repetitive. You had chorus/hook, filler chorus/hook and all either love or novelty songs. Yech!!!

Maybe not the music from the fifties... but the electronic crap of today sucks. personaly, i like from bout the sixties to the nineties. I LOVE NIRVANA!
