Media Player 10 will work with your Zen, failing that the best thing to do is to go to the creative website (listed in a previous answer) and download the software agan.
Dragging & Dropping files onto the device using explorer doesn't work because it is treated as a data file transfer and not an audio transfer. Basically there is a music folder and a system/data folder. The software is needed to access and organise the music area.

Open "MY Computer", either from the Windows desktop or Start > My Computer.
Note the drives that are there.
Plug Zen into USB port.
Note which drive has been added.
The added drive is your Zen.
Now drag and drop files to / from it.
If this doesn't work, go to the Creative website and download any specific driver it needs, the info will be there somewhere like Support or Downloads.
