Congratulations :)
Pressure bands from a pharmacy help some women, may be worth a try.
Also, please talk to your doctor before taking any suppliments - some have been shown to help relieve naseua, but you need to check that they are okay for you to take.

A few other tips:
Avoid warm places as heat can increase the nausea feelings.
Take naps during the day (but not right after eating). Tiredness plays a big part in morning sickness.
Get enough sleep at night.
Get out of bed slowly in the morning.
Try eating plain crackers or dry cereal before you get out of bed in the morning.
Open windows or turn on exhaust fans when cooking and after meals.
Cooking in the microwave usually produces less odors.
Silly as it sounds, carry a handkerchief with a few drops of a non nausea causing essential oil (lemon for example) in it and breath through it if you can't get away from the smell that is bothering you.
Avoid greasy or spicy foods as they often cause nausea or heartburn.
Eat what you want when you want it. Your cravings will not lead you the wrong way.
Have frequent protein snacks. (Low fat meats and seafood, nuts, eggs and beans are high protein.)
Eat smaller meals every two hours or so.
Eating something salty before a meal can help you "make it through" a meal.
Do not drink fluids with your meals.
Non caffeinated teas like peppermint and ginger can help calm nausea.
Drink small amounts of fluids regularly though out the day to avoid dehydration.
Do not skip meals if you can help it.
Avoid spicy and fried food - both eating and smelling it can increase your nausea.
Cold food may have less nausea inducing smells associated with them.

When i was pregnant with my little girl, Erin, who is now 20 months old, i was sick from 3 weeks onwards till i was about 33 weeks. I was in and out of hospital as i could barely keep water down and kept passing out. The only things that helped on the odd occasion would be nibbling ginger biscuits or drinking ginger or peppermint tea. Hope that you have a wonderful pregnancy

I used to nibble on 2 Arrowroot biscuits, the arrowroot is good for tummy upsets but although it eased it it did'nt stop it, I was sick for a couple of months with the first and the whole nine months for the second. There is an old wifes tale that if you are sick till the end its a girl, true in my case but probably just coincidence.
Whatever you do don't be tempted into any kind of medication.
Good luck with the pregnancy.

Whether this is an old wives tales I don't know but I was told the reason pregnant women get nausea and sickness is because of a lack of vitamins and minerals in your body. They are all being passed to your baby to help it develop therefore you need to consume more yourself. It is said that is why some women crave particular foods because they contain the vitamins needed, hence the unusual mixtures of food that are craved. I had sickness from the moment I woke up at 8 weeks until I gave birth and when i had my second and started feeling sick I made sure I ate loads of different foods containing every single vitamin and mineral I could possibly think of. I didn't feel like eating but persevered and my sickness stopped a couple of weeks later. Like I said this could be rubbish but it worked for me and it was my midwife who told me this!

Hi,
Congrats!! I am 14 weeks and no sign of a let up yet still suffering a lot! I have found that going too long between meals doesnt help, the hungrier I get the worse I feel, also I feel sicker if I am overtired so try to rest regularly. I hope you soon feel better and good luck with everything.

This is gonna sound awful but...

When I was really suffering badly with morning sickness, I used to drink a glass of milk which turned my stomach even more. I would then throw up really quickly, but after that I would feel so much better. When I worked the morning shift, it was the only way I could get to work by 7.30am.

I only ever got morning sickness when I was carrying my son... Speaks volumes!

I wsas put on anit-nausea pills, prescribed by my doctor. I did't think they worked, until I stopped taking them. Then I knew how sick I really felt! I had all day sickness for nine months, threw up morning noon and night.
I've tried all the mentioned things - nothing really works if you're that sick. However, I did find that eating actually made me feel better, if I timed it right. I'd throw up, wait for the spasms to die down and then quickly eat something, like a dry biscuit. And I'd try to eat something every twenty minutes. You have to time it right. It's no wonder no one felt sorry for me when I moaned so - I was eating non stop!
Good luck. I hope it stops soon.

You not try Ice Cream correctly. Get you some Frito's Scoops and dip them in Chocolate Ice Cream. I know women that did this, and, curious as I am, I decided to take a plunge into the unknown. Dang, it was pretty good. I think it something in the salt.

I have 5 children and every pregnacy was diff, in my opinion there is normal morning sickness and there is another sickness entirely one that possibly only medical intervention can help.
with my first child I had bad morning sickness not much helped I spend the whole day at work in and out of the toilet throwing up,went at 14 weeks.
2nd pregnancy oh my god!!!! i could not get out of bed. after 4 weeks of lying in bed like a zombie not able to keep anything down i was brought to hospital and put on a drip I was in for 3 weeks and they put anti sickness medication into my drip as well as saline, after 3 weeks when i had started to eat and gained some weight I was allowed home. I felt better and thought they had fixed the problem.silly me as soon as the anti sickness med wore off-about three hours-I was throwing up again and my zombie state returned. thankfully this went a t 14 weeks, It was the horrible.
That was it for me I swore I would never be pregnant again!!!
so when I found out I was pregnant again I cried for 2 days dreading the return of the sickness, and It never happened not one day of sickness did I have with my third!!!!
then with my fourth I had what from experience I know is normal morning sickness, I felt gueasy all day long , but I was able to continue my life it was helped by eating small snacks little but often, then with my 5th I turned into Zombie again. I never left my bed for 12 weeks vomited constantly and was admitted to hospital five times My memory of that time is so bad I was almost insane from this over whelming nauseau that took over me I honestly could not think straight I couldn't even hold a conversation, My sisters had to move in to look after the kids and my husband said it was like coming home to the exorcist!!!!! I was diagnosed as having an allergic reaction to pregnacy. but I dont know!!!
So my advice to you would be if you are feeling sick but able to get on with things eat little and often this realy helps,
if you are feeling so bad that you cant get out of bed you should def call the docter as only medical intervention will help you,

When you get up in morning sit in bed for a while with some crackers and 7up. Also, don't go long periods of time without eating. Having an empty tummy will make you feel worse. I would suggest eating little meals all day and keep your crackers handy.
