Black only awards, black entertainment television, black only scholarships, affirmitive action for jobs

if there ever was a WHITE PEOPLE ONLY AWARDS there would lawsuits and people losing their jobs and getting fired all over the place.

It just seems to only contribute to racism by having them, how will it ever end if we keep separating each other.

Unfortunately because so many cultural groups can be hypocritical, though there is no ONE group that is more so than another.

I think it is a type of reverse prejudice. Also I think many black people believe they have been done so unjustly, so exclusively, that they deserve to be able to do such things and have such things.

Granted, in the past, in the US, they were only allowed to do things about their own race. Then they got freedom. Now, ironically, they are segregating themselves again.

If they believe they are as talented, etc. as everyone else, why should they have to have a "black only" award? Very true, if "white" people started to do the same, there would be many lawsuits against them. Yet conversely, many awards, scholarships, etc. have an "unspoken" segregation to keep out all non-white applicants, etc.

I think there is a clear answer to your question. Such as I gave above, but the reality of the situations are really subjective. There is injustice and prejudice on both sides still. It will never end as long as all cultures continue to do so, and thinking of themselves as the most misused or abused.

In every nation on earth, peoples past and present, there have been injustices and wrongs done based on colour of skin, nationality, and such things. In this we are all common, and should admit.

It is a difficult question, and difficult answers to give. But most especially for me, that such will likely continue.

I could add to your excellent analysis. But then I'd be labled a racist. Ah, fu_k it. AMEN, brother! The only thing we have to thank for it is the eleven months of WHITE HISTORY MONTH!!! No decent ***** would EVER support this sh_t. It's a farce and a sham. Unity is NOT created from seperatism. You wanna wave a flag around here (Wisconsin)? Wave the Flag of the United States of America, the one with the thirteen stripes and the fifty stars. You wanna wave another flag? Wave it beneath the one of the country you're in.

It seems those who class themselves as hard-done-by minorities always want their own versions of things. Feminists are another that fall into this boat.

No matter what fancy label they stick on it, it is still blatant discrimination, even if it does have a Politically Correct stench about it.

What I'd like to know is why it is OK for them to call each other "*******", but a law-suit in the making if we ever use that term. What's good for the goose is good for gander I say!

it's what i call reverse discrimination. some black people continue to feel like we should make up what happened 200 yers ago and evidently some white lawmakers feel the same way. look at a housing or job app lately? how about use of the "n" word...it's ok for whites to have racist names but just say that word and you're marked...with the black friends i have, we don't look at our colors, our personalities fit and we can get along...their are just some people who want to keep racism alive and those are the people who will continue to do it...actions, not color of the skin make people who they are...

COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
It's been a long time sense Charlie Pride won one.
If all of the members of your race could be fair
there wouldn't be a need. Let's see..
"THE COLOR PURPLE", and
"CIDER HOUSE RULES"
Some really great acting done by some Black people
in these movies, and they didn't win one award, not one.
There are many more examples I see, but some people
only see what they want. Wake up.

Over the past there has been so much discrimination to them that it will seem unfair and unjust if they didn't get the even chance as what we did in the earlier years. Affirmative action is acceptable as in the past they didn't get the same education as white humans and now they can't get jobs, and they are trying to make a balance.

We are..? I realize we have now been within the media plenty however commonly for the incorrect causes. I feel the media has an predicament with darkish skinned black ladies. Why I haven't any thought however you hardly ever see a gloomy skinned girl gambling lead roles in prime profile films.

Why would you be worried about something as egotistical as an award show anyways? Dont you have more important things to worry about. Power hungry idiots are going to continue to churn racism. Just let them play there mindless games.

Because there were "white only" everything. So we HAD to start our own. And, FYI much of the world is still segregated. On paper (by law) we may be integrated, but that doesn't always happen in reality.

its a logical question. but when you think about it, african americans were giving the same oppurtunities as white americans for a very long time. and believe it or not, and i can safely say it as a AA myself, we stilll arent as much as you would think. so when a group of people have been in bondage for so long, its only proper that you give credit where credit is due.
