i think both teams should have been suspended for the rest of the year.

I think they could have sent a stronger message by extending some of the punishments a little farther into the season than they did. As it is, they were definitely punished, but they will still be around for the "bigger" games later in the year, and be back in the scouts' eyes long before the playoffs. In the end, their careers will not be effected by this, and the message sent was that it's wrong, but not THAT wrong.

Donna Shalala is the President of the University of Miami. Being a former Clinton cabinet member, she would never do the right thing, but the political, not politicaly-right, thing. Soft punishment, not hard punishment.

Players should have been suspended for entire year and Canes should not go to post season Bowl Game (even if they become somehow eligible).
It's not the first time they have been this undisciplined on the field, ask LSU about last year's Bowl/brawl.

Way way too lenient. A couple of those players should have been thrown off the team, and the others who were suspended should have gotten a minimum of 3 games.

Their punishments were far too lenient. The team administrators care too much about winning games and not enough about sending a good message.

dont go to miami, you might get beat up, or hit with a helmet, and dont go to FIU, because you might get hit with a crutch, and it sucks a s s. no, that lady should be fired, one game suspensions, fiu at least dismissed two players. that *****
