Well, in summer it's very hot outside and we sweat like pigs and feel uncomfortable. So a cold shower feels so good. But in Winter when it's freezing you need warm water because standing in the buff shivering while your house is sooo cold isn't a great feeling. Hope that helped :)

I'm the opposite -- I can handle the hot water in the summer because the temperature of the air outside the shower is similar. In the winter, I have to turn the water temperature down so that I'm not so cold in contrast to the water temp when I get out of the shower.

Try having a cold shower in winter & you'll soon find it's bloody unpleasant. You want to warm up in winter cos it's cold, but cool down in summer cos it's hot (if you're lucky!). Some people prefer it hot OR cold all year round, so it's just a matter of choice.

in the summer its hot so we want to cool down a bit actually some people go into the shower just to stop sweat it makes u feel better but in the winter its cold so obviously u want to warm up so turn the hot water up a bit just to keep our body temperature stable.

Apart from wanting cooled down in summer and heated up in winter, the water temperature is lower in winter and the pipes are colder.

I take a hot shower but after i get out I rinse my face with cold water. It seems to work great for me. the hot shower opens my pores so they get clean and then the cold rinse closes them back up so they are small and less noticable.

Because the water is hotter in summer, I get cold showers and baths all year round, good for you

Not everyone does :)
I always have cold showers anyway, and I don't vary the temperature of the water.
I do adjust the temperature of my bath water though.
In summer, I tend to have cold baths, as I'm usually hot and bothered from doing physical work in the heat outside. In winter, I tend to be colder as I don't usually have the heating on. I like to warm up with a nice, hot bath.

Generally heat loss in pipes leading to shower is greater in winter than in summer.
