On the top center it says 'R.H. Rosberg Mfg. Co.' and then underneath it says 'Chicago'. It is dark wood, with a light top and it has 16 drawers, including a 'catch basin' made of cloth. It also came with a glass partition that covers three sides on top. To the best of my knowledge I think it was made sometime in the 50's.

If you can find any information on the company or this desk in particular please let me know!

Thank you!

Here is one that was for sale a few years back.

The company was either the predecessor or the successor to a company that made furniture for opticians and jeweler's and the like called "Jessen & Rosberg".

There is not much to be found on either company.

I assume you already did a search on the web and came up blank. Your best bet is to contact an organizationthat has the expertise needed. Here are some suggestions:

your local historic preservation society.
History museum(s)
The history department of a nearby university--especially if they have a preservation department.
The Chicago Historical Society (I think that's its name).

Sorry I don't have specific info for you.
