First, factor all of the bases into prime numbers:
81 = 3^4
4 = 2^2
6 = 2*3.
Now you have (3^4)^4 * (2^2)^9 / (2*3)^16.
Next, use this property of exponents: (ab)^x = a^x b^x.
This gives you (3^4)^4 * (2^2)^9 / [ 2^16 * 3^16 ]
Next, use this property: (a^x)^y = a^(x*y)
You then have 3^16 * 2^18 / [ 2^16 * 3^16 ]
Then, use this property: a^x / a^y = a^(x-y)
You get 3^(16-16) * 2^(18-16) = 3^0 * 2^2 = 1*4 = 4.

The answer is 4.
81^4 x 4^9 / 6^16
= 43046721x 262144 / 2821109907456
= 4

I understand how you have typed the problem. Do you understand what "by steps" means. It means use one line to show each stage of the process. The first line would be for the exponentiation since that is done first, then a line for either the multiplication or division and finally the last line for whatever is left over. Parenthesis, exponentiation, multiply/divide, add/subtract, one line for each or more if you want to do a line per unit of each.

81^4=(3^4)^4=3^16
4^9=(2^2)^9=2^18
6^16=(2*3)^16=2^16*3^16
now plugging in
81^4*4^9/6^16
=3^16*2^18/2^16*3^16
=2^2=4(ans.)

I always use B(p)ODMAS from A-level maths:
Brackets
Of
Division
Multiplication
Addition
Subtraction
Add the pie in their for (p)
In programming, the order of precedence follows similar rules and can be found in most computer books just in case you take that path.

first do all of the exponents and then multiply the first two terms and then divide that answer by the last term

F = multiply the 1st volume in each and each set of parenthesis O = multiply the exterior volume in each and each set of parenthesis I = multiply the interior volume in each and each set of parenthesis L = multiply the suited volume in each and each set of parenthesis Then all you may desire to do is clean it up and combine like-words. F ---> 5b x 5b = 25b squared O ---> 5b x -3g = -15bg I ---> 3g x 5b = 15bg L ---> 3g x -3g = -9g squared answer -------> 25bsquared - 9g squared i actually wish this facilitates you out. that's possibly the suited i will make sparkling it.
